ASBURY PARTNERS AND MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE BRING HOLIDAY JOY TO ASBURY PARK YOUTH

Toy Drive Sponsored by Oceanfront Redeveloper Takes Place at West Side Community Center
Asbury Park, NJ – Asbury Partners, the Asbury/Neptune Ministerial Alliance, and the West Side Community Center hosted a holiday toy drive event for Asbury Park children, a fun-filled day of gifts, holiday music, decorations, and refreshments provided by Dunkin Donuts. Asbury Partners donated nearly 300 toys for the event.
“As part of our overall mission to the community, we feel it is important to be involved with everyone here, especially around the holidays,” said Larry Fishman, chief operating officer of Asbury Partners. “To truly rebuild and improve Asbury Park means going beyond the actual construction of new buildings. It means revitalizing the spirit and hope of this great city. You can see this happen before your eyes whenever a local job is created or a child’s day is brightened by a new toy.”
Children of all ages received toys that included puzzles, action figures, board games, crayons and tea sets. They were also treated to a visit from Santa Claus.
“With the toys that Asbury Partners donated, we were really able to make this a big event for the community and a great celebration of holiday goodwill and the spirit of hope,” said Reverend David Parreott Jr., Assistant Secretary-elect of the Ministerial Alliance. “The children and their families are grateful for these gifts.”
The event took place at Asbury Park’s West Side Community Center.
“It was great to work with Asbury Partners on this important event for the city and its residents, and was a wonderful opportunity to put smiles on children’s faces” said Tyrone Laws, director of the West Side Community Center.
